What is the subdermal implant (Nexplanon)?
The subdermal implant is a medicated device that is inserted under the skin of your arm. It provides very effective contraception for up to 3 years.
A subdermal implant is considered a LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) option.

Taking an anti-inflammatory medication approximately one hour prior to your appointment can help with discomfort post insertion.
Remember to be able to pee when you arrive so that we can complete a urine pregnancy test prior to insertion.
